Frequently Asked Questions?
Why is my furnace blowing cold air?
This can happen for several reasons, including a dirty air filter, thermostat issues, ignition problems or your furnace is over heating and shutting down.
Why is my furnace not turning on?
Check the thermostat is set to “Heat” replace the batteries if needed, make sure the furnace switch is on, and verify the circuit breaker hasn’t tripped. If everything appears normal and your furnace still won’t start, call us 440-350-1211
Why is my furnace making a loud noise?
Banging, rattling, squealing or grinding noises may indicate loose parts, blower motor issues, ignition delays, or worn components. Unusual noises should be inspected before they lead to more costly repairs.
Why does my furnace keep turning on and off?
This is called short cycling. Common causes include a dirty air filter, an oversized furnace, restricted airflow, thermostat issues or overheating.
How often should I change my furnace filter?
Most homeowners should replace their filter every 1 to 3 months for a 1” filter and every 6 to 12 months for a 4” filter. Check it often to make sure it is clean. Set a reminder to do so.
Is it normal for my furnace to run constantly at freezing temperatures?
Yes. Your furnace is designed to keep your house to the temperature you have it set at. When the temps outside are below freezing it is working overtime to make sure you stay warm. Completely normal.
